The Institute of Authorised Chartered Auditors of Albania was established in November 24, 1997. It represents a body of private law (composed of its members), which has been given public attributes, in order to protect the public interest. It is established under the status of a nonprofit association that groups together the accounting professionals qualified with the title “Registered Auditors” that exercise their profession in public practice independently under the status of a physical person or as part of an auditing firm.
